Product: Hi Potency Cod Liver Oil

Company: Swiss

Size: 180 Capsules

Ingredients: Beta Carotene 3000iu, Vitamin D 300iu

Description: Vitamins A and D are fat soluble vitamins which are stored by the body, transported by lipids and utilized by the body when the physiological need is required. Vitamin A occurs in nature in two forms, performed vitamin A and pro vitamin A or Beta Carotene. Vitamin A has many functions: Maintain skin integreity, promote growth and formation of bones and teeth, normal night vision, maintain resistance to infections, tissue growth, eyes, protein digestion, liver, immune system hair. Vitamin A is depleted in the body by caffeine, alcohol, mineral oil, excess iron and tobacco. Deficiency symptoms include: poor night vision, skin disorders including dry skin, impaired growth, defective teeth and gums, dry inflamed eyes and styes. Vitamin D "The Sunshine Vitamin" works synergistically with Vitamin A, to prevent its oxidation. The combination of A and D makes them more readily absorbed accross the intestinal tract. One of Vitamin D's primary funstions is to help in the absorption of calcium and the breakdown and assimilation of phosphorous, which is required for bone formation. Defficiency symptoms: bone diseases, Rickets, osteomalacia (softening of bones), poor growth, osteoporosis (porous and brittle bones), teeth and gum problems, lack of resilience in the skin and tissueand colds.
