Product: IP6

Company: Advanced Orthomolecular Research

Size: 90 Capsules

Ingredients: Inositol hexaphosphate 500 mg

Dosage: Take 1 capsule three times a day or as directed by a health professional. Do not take with other supplements or medications. Wait an hour.

Description: Supports natural cell defence.

IP6 contains 500mg of purified inositol hexaphosphate from rice bran extracted by the leading Italian manufacturer. IP6 is a phosphorylated form of inositol commonly found in fiber-rich plant foods. IP6 may support natural cell defence against damaging hydroxyl free radicals by chelating with reactive iron. Additional inositol is not added as some IP6 is hydrolyzed by phytase enzymes in the digestive tract to yield inositol.

Is it from a natural source?

A natural compound, inositol hexaphosphate (IP6), found in such crops as soybeans, wheat bran, and rice, may protect against cancer.

What is IP6?

IP6 is a sugar molecule with six phosphates attached. It occurs naturally in nature in such diverse things as wheat, rice bran, legumes and even in nearly all mammal cells. It helps to regulate cellular functions, particularly cell differentiation and proliferation.

Scientists suggested that taking the "pure" form of the substance rather than ingesting large quantities in the diet might prove more beneficial in fighting cancer.

Scientists also hope that IP6 could be used in the treatment of other diseases and disorders, particularly in the fight against AIDS.
