Description: PRENATAL FORMULA is an advanced nutritional supplement formulated for the specific needs of pregnancy as well as those of the breast-feeding period.

This advanced formula contains Vitamin A in both its preformed (Palmitate) and provitamin (Beta Carotene) forms, the full spectrum of B-complex factors with a higher concentration of Folic Acid, possibly the most important vitamin at this critical time. The anti-oxidant Vitamins C and E are present to help reduce free radical stress. The lipotropic factors Choline, Inositol and Methionine are present to help support liver function as well as the metabolism of fats.

The minerals have been chelated with hydrolyzed vegetable protein and Betaine HCl has been added to the formula in order to ensure optimal absorption. Calcium and Magnesium are present in the optimal equal ratio, Zinc and Iron are present as well as all the other nutritional minerals and trace-elements. A higher percentage of Chromium has been added to help regulate blood sugar levels.

Red raspberry leaves, traditionally used by herbalists to relieve cramps, pain, and to facilitate childbirth have been added as an important herbal support. Yellow dock root is added as a natural source of iron. Finally, Ginger Root has also been added because of its ability to stop griping and cramping in the abdominal area and the uterus and for its role in improving digestion.

As with many Quest Vitamins' tablets, the use of the Chilsonating process as well as the CellCote coating, have eliminated the need for solvents in the granulating or coating process.
