Dosage: Add two rounded teaspoons of Greens Rx to 250mL of pure water, juice or milk ( soy milk or rice milk are better choices ) and blend, stir or shake well and drink immediately. Store in the refrigerator after opening. Best if taken first thing in the morning.

Description: Greens Rx is a scientific blend of Nature's most potent superfoods. Its nutrient density is greater than any other green product available. By combining the powdered juices of the tender green leaves of organic Green Kamut, Barley and Alfalfa with Red Beet Juice powder and Spirulina Blue-Green Algae in an unique process where all the delicate nutrients are preserved, a new standard is created. The inclusion of a special 99% oil free Soy Lecithin provides essential phospholipids, and essential fiber is provided by Apple Fiber and Brown Rice Germ and Bran. Organic Soy Sprouts and Spouted Barley Malt provides important isoflavones and enzymes, and "The Friendly Trio", a special dairy free, temperature stable Probiotic Culture provides the optimum friendly bacteria for a healthy colon. Royal Jelly and Bee Pollen add energy stimulating properties. Acerola Berry Juice powder provides a natural source of Vitamin C and bioflavonoids. Licorice Root Powder provides potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, and pacific Kelp provides iodine and essential trace minerals.

Many 'green' products claim up to 50 ingredients or more to create a label impression of being superior. Features of Greens Rx

• Greens Rx is the most nutrient dense of any multiple green-food formula, containing more greens per gram than any similar green-food formula.

• Greens Rx is the only green formula produced by the actual organic grower and processor of many of the ingredients used. (Green Kamut Corp.) Kamut, ALfalfa and Barley are planted on 2800 acres of virgin organic farmland on an ancient volcanic lake bed over 5000 feet high in the mountains of south-eastern Utah. The high altitude of the farmland and the mineral rich top soil contributes to a significantly higher chlorophyll, vitamin, mineral and protein content. Annual crop rotations and the fact that the crops are mineralized by the seasonal run-off from the surrounding hills assure maximum nutrition in each harvest. The leaves of the young plants are harvested, rinsed, juiced and dried "on site" at only 88 F, yielding a completely non-pasteurized product that retains the "live" qualities of the vitamins, minerals and enzymes. This assures the freshest product possible with improved flavour, solubility and texture.

• Greens Rx is the only green-food formula to use Green Kamut juice powder. Compared to wheat grass that is used in many other green-food formulas, Green Kamut is 25% richer in protein, 10% higher in beta carotene, 90% higher in potassium, 148% higher in calcium, 50% higher in iron and possesses 49% higher antioxidant activity. Kamut is also far less allergenic than wheat or wheat grass and is usually tolerated by those with wheat allergy.

• Greens Rx uses the higher quality grass juice powders, not just the powdered plant. Grass juice powders from the tender green leaves of Kamut, Alfalfa and Barley are substantially more nutrient dense than just the dried powdered plant that still contains most of the inert fiber.

• Greens Rx is one of the few green-food formulas packaged in appropriate containers to prevent cross contamination. (Glass and PET art the only containers suitables to store live foods with enzyme activity). Many green-food formulas are packages in polyethylene containers that do not protect the enzymes and photonutrients from degradation. This is a fact not lost on food producers who package only in glass or PET. Even though glass or PET containers are more expensive, the preservation of flavour is paramount. (Foods packaged in polyethylene lose flavour and nutritional potency due to cross contamination from the plastic container.)

• Greens Rx is the only green-food formula licensed by Wakunaga to use their patented "friendly trio" acidophilus culture which remains stable and active at room temperature. Other green-food formulas add acidophilus culture at the time of manufacture, but do not refrigerate the finished product in their warehouses, nor do the retailers store the product in refrigerators in their stores. As a result, there is very little, if any viable acidophilus left by the time it gets to the consumer. This has important consequences, as one of the significant features of green-food formulas is the ability to restore healthy intestinal flora.

• Greens Rx does not include standardized herbal extracts in the formula. Many green-food formulas add standardized herbal extracts in insignificant amounts to give the impression of a "better" formula. Botanical extracts are not foods but medicines for specific health conditions and should only be used for a limited period of time to help correct a health condition. Herbal extracts are not recommended for long term use as in a green-food formula. There is also concern for young children or pregnant women, as herbal extracts, even in small dosages could interfere with their hormonal balance.
